STOP SMOKING

You want to stop smoking. Yes, you and sixty million others in the US. Why do we smoke? What other beings on this planet run toward the smoke to breath it in? You didn't know how to smoke. You had to learn. It was so forbidden and so alluring that I know I had acquired a couple of cigarettes with another friend and had experimented before I was twelve.

I have talked with many many smokers and the story is often very similar. It was the forbidden thing, so we had to do it. And, it was disgusting and titilating as we broke the rules.

Maybe our friends smoked. Maybe we admired movie actors and actresses. It often is peer pressure, being cool, hip, in. Maybe our parents smoked. There are many reasons we learned to smoke.

We all chose to smoke cigarettes. We had to learn to like the smell of the smoke or did we just put up with the smoke to receive our dose of the drugs supplied in a cigarette.

Stopping is a good idea. And, there are side effects when you stop. Some of the immediate side effects are uncomfortable. Other side effects show up later , greater lung capacity, better sense of smell, greater vitality, feeling proud and more.

This program approaches this addiction and/or craving from all directions.
We look at the conscious aspects of smoking:

• What does it cost in dollars.
• What does it cost in self-esteem.
• What does it do to bodily health.

This program approaches the solution from many directions.

• Conscious revisiting of smoking history.
Looking at the history of smoking from many different directions.
There is a comprehensive questionaire and talk about the detail of the history.

• Hypnotherapy:
Offering the subconscious mind communications that allow the subconscious mind to ally with and support the conscious mind in becoming a non-smoker, an in control, pleasant, non-smoker;  a non-smoker with clarity and certainty, and ongoing tools further strengthening the comfort and calm of a mind released from nicotine addiction.

• Physical Tools:
Proven tools to assist in becoming a healthier non-smoker. Things such as a hypnosis cd or mp3 for daily use, olafactory input, gustatory input, timed response reminders, hypnosis sessions using vintage ESR (electrical skin resistance) meter to accurately determine depth of trance. And there are more tools, it depends on each individual.

• Follow-up:
Call me if you ever need to. Follow up appointments are rarely needed, though sometimes helpful. Sometimes an issue comes from an unknown cause remembered by the subconscious mind and forgotten by the conscious mind.
